Amazon Mission
8-2
|
The students and teachers of Team 8-2 would like to thank all the parents and members of the community who generously donated materials for "Amazon Mission". The project was a great success! Students worked in teams of four to solve real world problems using the technological design process and their creativity One problem required students to build a cost effective carrier that could keep an egg safe when dropped out of a second story window! Another problem the students conquered was designing a water filter to filter out pollutants from drinking water. This interdisciplinary unit allowed the students to review concepts learned throughout the year in a fun, hands-on way, while helping to solve some real world problems faced by the Yanomami tribe living in South America. |
